As is known, from 2017 the FCA Group introduced IT protection measures for its vehicles, in order to transfer potentially sensitive information at a higher safety level. However, these measures inhibited any type of action by independent workshops. TEXA faced the problem immediately, dealing with national and European organisations in order to obtain full cooperation by FCA. So it was and, starting already from June 2019, repair professionals who own TEXA tools, could operate once again, in complete legality and safety, even on vehicles of the FCA Group.

However, TEXA did not stop here. The latest new feature that was introduced in the field is a new service, TEXA SECURITY ACCESS, which allows all its customers to carry out unlimited diagnoses, safe and official, on vehicles equipped with the Secure Gateway (SGW), the module that protects against cyber attacks, intercepts the communication towards the vehicle and prevents operations on the electronic control units.

By undersigning the new subscription, TEXA’s solutions, using an Internet connection, automatically manage the authentication in the FCA servers and systematically unlock the SGW module . The phases of the diagnosis are simple and linear as for any other make, no longer having to access, each time, the official Technical Information portal to purchase the credits needed for each single operation.

Thanks to TEXA SECURITY ACCESS, among the vehicles on which a complete diagnosis can be carried out, Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio, Fiat Tipo, 500, 500L and 500X, Jeep Renegade, Compass, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee are included.
